SWAT Team- Santa Fe
The Student Wellness Action Team (S.W.A.T.) is a youth empowerment program that is directed through the Santa Fe New Mexico Public Schools' Department of Wellness and is active in nine different schools -- public, charter and private.

S.W.A.T. students are peer-to-peer helpers, peer educators, youth policy advocates, leaders and role models in their schools and communities. They are youth who care and want to make a difference!
S.W.A.T. groups are busy! They identify needs and then let their passion drive them to engage in activities that address those needs. As state legislators convene, their focus may be promotion of laws that fight drunk driving. As prom approaches, they may do a school-wide campaign addressing teen dating violence. Bullying, drop-out prevention, distracted driving, suicide prevention, substance abuse, stress and depression are just a few of the concerns that motivate the S.W.A.T. teams.
